The Yarsuvat & Yarsuvat Law Firm is the successor of the Yarsuvat Law Firm that was founded in 1942 by İhsan Yarsuvat. It was restructured in 1994 by Prof. Dr. Duygun Yarsuvat and İhsan Ömür Yarsuvat, to conduct its business as the Yarsuvat & Yarsuvat Law Firm.

In 2004 Prof. Dr. Duygun Yarsuvat was elected as the President of the Galatasaray University in Istanbul for a period of fours years. As a result of this position at the Galatasaray University, pursuant to the Turkish law he gave his leave of absence to the Yarsuvat & Yarsuvat Law Firm. He will resume work at the Yarsuvat & Yarsuvat Law Firm once his term at the university ends. His former presence at the Firm is currently fulfilled by Ayşe Nil Yarsuvat as the managing director and İhsan Ömür Yarsuvat is entrusted with the legal matters as the senior attorney and partner.

The Firm primarily caters to a multinational clientele comprising of foreign investors in Turkey and their local subsidiaries. Clients also include domestic companies that are engaged in cross-border transactions. As such, the Firm offers comprehensive consulting services to inbound and outbound investors as well as legal representation in cases of dispute.

The Firm reinforces a conflict of interest policy as well as one of confidentiality. No two clients in the same market are represented simultaneously unless each interested party consents to the other. Client names are not disclosed to the public or in any private communication.
